Come join us at NOMA GALLERY for the closing of "in a world where you are possible", works by Christine Kesler.

Drawing on the influence of poetry in Christine's work we put together an evening of readings and music. Kevin Killian will read from his new book 'Impossible Princess' (City Lights), Christine Choi will be reading portions from her work 'Swollen Animals Dream: Fifteen Love Letters' accompanied by projections and a hacked "lyre", Christine Kesler will be reading some recent poetry and there will be a music performance by James Devane.

Kevin Killian is a San Francisco writer. His books include Bedrooms Have Windows, Shy, Little Men, Arctic Summer, Argento Series, I Cry Like a Baby, and Action Kylie. Dennis Cooper has called Killian the "greatest unsung genius in contemporary American literature."

Christine Choi is a poet and artist. Since 2004, she's toured a small circuit of the U.S. puddle-jumping in matters of the heart, stoking a rampant curiosity for human-animal relationships, educating children, and producing unusual sounds, images, and texts. She holds an MFA in Writing from the California College of the Arts, and her work has appeared in literary journals such as In Posse Review and Paul Revere's Horse. Her second chapbook, Clockwork and Onions, was released by One Bean Press in Fall 2008.

James Devane is a musician based in San Francisco, CA. After gaining a formal education in jazz performance, he has since turned his interests towards manipulating sounds into electronic and ambient textures. His first album was released in 2008 under the Bremsstrahlung sub-label Trans>Parent Radiation. He is currently involved with the band En, whose music will be released in the upcoming year. http://www.jamesdevane.com/
